Others sharing those skills, generation to generation…
Knitting can be very absorbing….
but there is always plenty of time to laugh and chat or to listen…
Of course we also got a lot of enjoyment from talking about the things we have in common as well as the different customs and traditions that we have. We talked about weddings, cooking for festivals, about our families and communities. The time flew…
As did our needles. We decided that we would like to meet on a monthly basis so as soon as we have set a new date I will let everyone know. Thanks to all for getting Harrow-on-the-Hill Knit for Peace Group off to a flying start. I look forward to seeing you all and making more new friends next month.
My particular thanks go to Hadiya Maseih from Women ArTogether, Humera Khan from An-Nisa and the newsletter editor from St Michael’s Church for supporting and publicising the event and to Suzanne
Hafezi Photography for allowing me to use her wonderful photos.
