The meanings attached to the stitches in Aran knitting are a long held tradition linking family history, clans, hardworking fishermen and the beautiful Irish countryside.  Or are they ?

The hand knitting industry on the Islands of Aran off the
Wool Warehouse in Leamington Spa has sent us these colourful jumpers and this huge cosy blanket.  We really love the choice of colours and the time and skill it has taken to make them.
