Help Abused Women

Here is a nice message from our latest delivery of wool to one women’s refuge:

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the wool that you gave us a couple of weeks ago.  The knitters in both projects were so pleased to get such a lot of choice it gives them a lot of inspiration and also encourages lots of new knitters. Thank you.  I thought you might like to see some of the things that have been made recently.

Help us raise £25,000 so we can continue to supply yarn, needles, and haberdashery to women so they can knit. This is specifically so we can continue to help those in the most wretched circumstances: women forced to flee war and civil unrest; trafficked women; victims of domestic violence…
Knitting helps their recovery, because it is calming, it makes them feel useful, as they knit for themselves, their children and others. Some even set up small businesses, selling their knitting.
