Sponsor a sack – £12

We are still sending out lots of knitting. Why not sponsor a sack in memory of a loved one? A perfect tribute for knitters.

Greetings and Christmas cards

We have a variety of knitting-themed Christmas and greetings cards in aid of Knit for Peace on our website, and even more designs available through our sister charity Good Gifts.

Good Gifts advent calendars – £14.95

True to the message of Christmas, every day, a window opens to show another little gift with disproportionate impact: seeds for a poor farmer; lifesaving medicine; a bowl of rice; a ball for a child with no toys; culminating in a warm hat for a cold baby.

Good Gifts gift tags – £5.95

A pack of 5 tags giving much needed help: feed an abandoned child, birthday flowers for an old person, a book for a schoolgirl, toys for children in refugee camps, and warm clothes for a chilly granny.

A picture taken from above of a variety of the potential prize you could receive in the Knit for Peace Lucky Dip: yarn, knitting supplies, embroidery kits and other crafting materials.

Lucky Dip – £14.99

Enter our Lucky Dip, full of ideal presents for you to keep or give, to win a variety of knitting and crafting supplies. In aid of our Get Britain Knitting campaign, to encourage knitting/crocheting in schools.

A greener way to donate your knitting

For environmental reasons we are encouraging people to donate locally (cutting down on “double deliveries”). We have compiled a list of charities who ask for donations of knitting, which you can find on our website. Please consider donating directly to a charity in your local area, but always contact them before donating to check what they need.

You can still send knitting to Radius Works if it is more convenient.

“Our inbox has been busy all day with members of Knit for Peace offering to send us donations. It is lovely to see a community group so willing to help. These donations will make such a difference to our members who are experiencing homelessness.” Crisis at Christmas, Coventry

Feedback

“This purposeful activity, for people even worse off than us, really helps us too!!” A prisoner whose knitting we distribute

If you would like to sponsor a knitting kit for an Afghan refugee in the UK, you can do so through Good Gifts here.

Knit of the Day

We are continuing our ‘Knit of the Day’ posts as we know our knitters love to see all the amazing items we are sent, and we still have plenty here at our premises. Thank you to Pauline, Elsie and Kelly for sending us these impressive items.
